The Championship is back with a bang on Thursday evening as Reading welcome QPR to the Madejski Stadium.
Jaap Stam’s Reading were dumped out of the FA Cup by holders Manchester United last weekend, losing by a 4-0 scoreline. Goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi made an absolute howler for United’s fourth goal in that game, and he’ll be lucky if he’s not dropped from the Royals’ starting eleven! FA Cup games aside, Reading have been in good form under Dutchman Stam, and have won eight of their last ten games, boasting one of the best records in the Championship. As a result, they’ll be confident of seeing off QPR under the floodlights at the Madejski.
QPR also suffered a third-round FA Cup exit last weekend at the hands of fellow Championship side Blackburn, but before that, the R’s had been in good form in the league, having won their last two games. Back-to-back 2-1 victories have seen Ian Holloway’s men move up the table, and most importantly, away from the relegation zone.
Reading vs QPR Betting TipsReading come into this in the better form, and also in a better league position. Home advantage should be enough to see this one through, despite QPR's recent resurgence.

With the Royals at home, the odds are firmly in their favour. Despite losing 4-0 at Old Trafford last weekend, they should find this one significantly easier. A Reading -1 handicap win is 23/10 with Paddy Power.

Clean Sheet - Reading - 6/4
These two sides both found the back of the net when they last played each other back in October, but Jaap Stam has got his side a lot more organised since taking charge, and with that in mind, we think there's a good chance the Royals will keep a clean sheet.

Ian Holloway hasn't yet added to his squad in the transfer window, but with no injuries or suspensions to contend with, there may not be need for them just yet.
